Why | Vision

Why did I start a blog? A simple question that is a little difficult to answer. Have you ever felt like you’re always trying to catch up? Yeah, it’s a common thing in the NP world, too much to do and too little time. In my .org I work to align technology with the business to better support the mission. My vision is to change my .org’s tech culture in a way that affects the very core fiber of its being, I want to position the use of tech in a way that will streamline process, promote efficiency, make staff more effective and give those we serve in our community the best experience possible. Sounds good right? A bit lofty, but definitely a cherished ideal. I digress.

Why did I start this blog? Because I’m trying to catch up. (I guess the answer was pretty simple)

Evolve or Die, I come across this theme regularly in the tech world, now I’m not trying to say that I’m dieing when it comes to technology, but I am not blogging. While attending NTC07 in DC I was introduced to a dear friends anonymous blog. It sounds funny to say “my friend has an anonymous blog” as if I had the power to see through the anonymity and discover the blog owners identity. My friend shared the blog and acknowledged authorship, a conversation ensued, it made all the difference, and now I’m starting my own blog focused on NPTECH.

I think the theme will be a common one; I plan to share my thoughts, ideas, laments, frustrations, successes & failures and vision for technology in the NP world. I’ll probably add other funky tidbits as they pop in to my head, just for fun.

So that about sums it up for now; I’m blogging to catch up, just for fun.

Peace.
